This October, City representatives from both the Airport and Economic Development traveled to the 2018 NBAA-BACE Conference hosted by the National Business Aviation Association.
The event is the premier meeting place for the business aviation community – bringing together key aviation contacts from around the world, including current and prospective business aircraft owners, manufacturers, and customers.
At the show, Frederick Municipal Airport’s competitive amenities and proximity to major markets were showcased as leading reasons for aircraft owners and business travelers to choose FDK instead of busier and costlier commercial service airports in the region. The Airport intends to leverage its attendance at the conference to increase business aviation operations.
The exhibition at the NBAA-BACE conference also provided a targeted platform for the promotion of several unique hangar development sites currently available at the airport. These rare built-to-suit opportunities are served with key utility infrastructure and available at competitive rates with flexible lease terms. The parcels additionally fall within a federally-designated Opportunity Zone – offering significant tax incentive potential for eligible investors.
Additional information about the development opportunities is available online in a newly-created, printable brochure.
