Frederick County currently has the 3rd highest job growth rate in Maryland. In the state that has the highest median household income in the nation, Frederick employers are leading the way in one of the most competitive job markets in the world.
Last month, Frederick Economic Development partners gathered to host the 17th Annual Best Places to Work Event to honor the tremendous efforts of our local workplaces. The Frederick County Best Places to Work campaign recognizes the County's most innovative, creative, and forward-thinking employers. Winners of the coveted title provide outstanding benefits, programs and perks for their employees.
Following a public submission process, nominations are scored based on their employment size, median salary, turnover rate, benefits, leave options, charitable involvement, professional growth opportunities, diversity, and health & wellness practices, and major category award winners are selected.
This year, the program also honored companies specifically committed to fostering fun in the work place. We wanted to hear what makes employees enjoy going to work each day and what makes their companies so unique.
